“The Rue Pigalle Textiles Group meets online once a month, on the first Friday, to share our own work and catch up – we have embroiderers, quilters, knitters, weavers, felters, appliqué-ists and all kinds of fibre artists in our numbers – and those like me who are just there to appreciate and learn.

Sometimes we invite a speaker – recently we held a very special online meeting to hear from the Canadian textiles legend that is Judy Martin. I first saw Judy’s work at Guildworks in Bloomfield, Prince Edward County – she recently sold the piece ‘My Awakened Heart’ there. I knew immediately that we had to meet her, and was so excited when she agreed to.
