Energy Cloth is a summer quilt because only two layers of cloth are stitched together rather than the usual three layers.

In 2012, Energy Cloth was one of the Canadian Quilts that were exhibited in the 2012 European Patchwork and Textile Meeting in Alsace, France. Canada was the invited country, Sandra Reford from Toronto curated the exhibition.
